Host Your Event at the Lodge

Whether its company holiday parties, class reunions, birthday parties, family gatherings, weddings, and everything in between, the Hopkins Elks Lodge is a great place to host an event. It has plenty of seating, kitchen facilities, jovial bartenders and best of all the upstairs facilities are free to members!

The Lodge has two areas available for use for private parties and gatherings.
- The Upstairs Dining Room features seating for around 80 people with easy access to the kitchen and a 65" color projection TV. It is an extension of the main bar area.
- The Downstairs Bar features a separate bar, wide open area for just about any type of table arrangement or mingling, mens and ladies bathrooms and generally more privacy than the Upstairs Dining Room.

What to do Next
The following is a list of tasks and reminders to help you get your event started.
- Schedule the event with the Club Manager - Dean Paulson (952-933-2221). He will put it on Lodge calendar. The calendar on the bulletin board next to the bar is not the event calendar. Simply writing your event in on this calendar does not constitute it as a scheduled event.
- Events must be scheduled at least a week ahead of time.
- There are no restrictions on how long your event can be only that it start and end within the normal operating hours of the lodge. Events cannot extend beyond the normal closing time for example. Hours are posted on the home page of the website.
- Identify whether or not you will need the kitchen facilities. The kitchen may be in use for other Lodge activities. Be sure to schedule it ahead of time. There is a $50 charge for use of the kitchen.
- Identify which area you would like to reserve. The Upstairs Dining Room is a public facility and any event hosted in this area, even your event, is considered a public event and members have the freedom to come into the space.
If you prefer a private event in which members are precluded, the Downstairs Bar is the recommended space. The Downstairs Bar requires a fee of $200 for just the space, without a bartender. If you require a dedicated bartender, the fee is $275.
- Download and review a copy of the contract.
- You may decorate your space as appropriate to your function. You are also then responsible for taking down the decorations in a timely manner.

Rules of the Road
