For those of you who would be interested in going out to the Minneapolis VA for Bunko, the following are the dates for 2009: (All Wednesday’s), April 29, July 29, September 30 and December 30.
We play Bunko with the Veterans for about an hour, provide food and some goodies, laugh and let them know we care.

Joe Kaderlik, Julie Opheim, Gretchen and Rick Peterson and Jill Lawrence have been busy collecting and packing boxes for our deployed Lodge military member, Aaron Peterson, and deployed local military member Jason Beckman. Thanks to Joe and Julie, Rick and Gretchen, Dennis Winter, Sarge Doughman, and Tom Wright for their monetary donations and to the Hopkin’s Elks members and cast of the Mystery Theater who donated items to send to the 2 men overseas. February 16 we packed another 11 boxes to ship. Thanks everyone!
We will continue to collect items and ship as long as Aaron and Jason are deployed.
Julia Welch has been collecting DVD’s to ship for entertainment, paperbacks are great, candy, snacks, personal-care items for both men and women, Sunday comics are really appreciated, writing paper and pens, cards (playing and greeting), ground coffee and dry drink mixes are a few of the items we send. Your monetary and other donations are greatly appreciated.
