Troop Week at the Elks Youth Camp
The camp sets aside one week per summer so that the children of members currently serving in the military can attend the Youth Camp. This year, the week of June 15 - June 21, 2008 is set aside for Troop week. For more information, click here.

Elks National Memorial

Located in idyllic Lincoln Park in Chicago, the Elks National Veterans Memorial was built in 1926 to honor Americans whose profound sacrifices for the nation can never be recognized by mere words. With its massive dome, heroic sculptures and intricately detailed friezes, the Memorial is a distinctively American interpretation of classical greatness. National Patriotism Week - Feb 18-24, 2008
The Elks celebrate National Patriotism Week the third week in February. During this week, we urge all citizens to join with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in expressing gratitude for the privilege of American Citizenship with appropriate celebrations and observances. The Order promotes the ideals that the citizens of this nation live in freedom, won through the great sacrifices and many tribulations which have provided the foundation for a free, prosperous and independent life. Each generation must work to maintain this freedom, otherwise, through carelessness or indifference, the rights and liberties enjoyed may vanish. Contact your Grand Lodge Americanism Committeeman for additional information.

November is Veterans Remembrance Month
For the Order of Elks, veterans remembrance is a daily proposition. We never have and never will never forget the sacrifices these heroes made so that we may be free. But it has been a tradition for the Order to redouble its efforts on behalf of veterans in November, not just for Veterans Day, but for the entire month. For the Elks, November is Veterans Remembrance Month.
