Elks Youth Camp
Testimonials

Hi Mike, I was hoping to meet you yesterday so I could thank you. After I saw the excitement of the Elks' and the campers who look excited, and a little nervous too I really felt how special this camp experience is. Everyone was so welcoming and I saw children and their parents quickly put at ease. I really can't put into words how wonderful I think the Elk's camp is. It truly is a life affirming and possibly life changing event for the kids. The generosity of the Hopkin's Elks is amazing! Thank you for contacting Big Brothers Big Sisters so that Lashaya could be a part of this. What a meaningful gift for her, and for all of the children who are receiving the kindness of the Elk's and the blessings of nature. Thanks Mike! Trisha Falvey

Hello... Yes Chynna had a blast, and she did bring a camera with, and as soon as we get them back I'll forward some to you. thanks again for the invite from the Elk's, they all seemed like a great bunch of "real folks" they had a family breakfast the day the kids left to camp, the kids rode up in air conditioned Voigt coach buses Chynna was blown away that they had a bathroom on the buses, they had a lot of fun stuff for the kids to do, pontoon boat rides, swimming off the boat, kayaking swimming off the beach, they even held there own carnival, and walked around the area/neighborhood in their own parade, thanking the neighbors of the camp, she really enjoyed her self, met some girls, weather the friendships continue, I am not sure, but she had fun. Thanks again for recommending her for the camping trip... Roslyn

Hi Mike, I wanted to let you know how much of an impact the Elks camp made on one of our Littles this summer. We received the following e-mail from the Big Sister of Lashaya, who went on the trip. I told them I would pass the message along. Thank you again for providing that opportunity! Sincerely, Tami

“Lashaya mentioned camp last week - and again yesterday - to make sure I knew she really wants to go again. Is there anything we should do to let the Elk's know? It was one of the highlights of her life actually, and I am hoping (but she is hoping even more) that she will get to go again”
